Ava Ross is an advocate for domestic and sexual violence, a motivational speaker and author. Being an overcomer of domestic violence she has a warmth about her that draws people in and allow them to open up. Humble and soft-spoken while listening, when she delivers it is with accuracy and facts. She is a powerhouse and packed with knowledge that she is so freely ready to share with others in her mission to help transform the lives of survivors from surviving to living.
Ava serves on the advisory board for several nonprofit organizations and with partnerships nationally and internationally her work is continually making an impact to help save lives. Having a great passion for the youth Ava also works with Juvenile Justice Diversion programs and mentors to inspire, encourage and empower the youth.
In addition, Ava joined Sisters4Sisters Network in 2016 and serves on the Domestic Violence Committee as Leadership member.
September 2016 she was interviewed by ESPN about domestic violence in the NFL and have been a guest speaker on several platforms. Ava continues her fight against domestic violence in helping to make legislative changes by providing live testimony at State level for Bills being introduced or voted upon for domestic and sexual violence.

For 10 years I worked for GAO in Washington, DC. GAO holds, the federal government and private companies that receive federal funding, accountable. It also evaluates whether programs are running effectively and effectively and efficiently. While at GAO I focused on issues of law and policy; evaluated how federal agencies complied with, implemented, and were affected by laws and policies; and made recommendations for improving systems, processes, and policies.

Deborah Howard, Program Development
Founder and Chief Learning Officer of CIMA Associates, located in Lanham, Maryland. CIMA specializes in providing innovative training and management solutions to small businesses and higher education institutions. The word “CIMA” has special significance to the company’s mandate. CIMA is taken from the Spanish word “peak” or “pinnacle”. Peak service in the areas of criminal justice advocacy, human resources, organizational development, higher education, and change management is what CIMA’s clients have come to expect. Conversely, the letters of CIMA form the basis for the myriad of services provided - Coordination, Investigation, Management and Assessment.
Deborah brings extensive experience in criminal justice, human resources and higher education management to CIMA Associates. For 22 years, she served in various investigative and command positions with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. For the last 10 years, she served as the Department Chair of the Criminal Justice Program and the Deputy Title IX Officer for Brightwood College in Beltsville, Maryland.
The tenets of servant leadership are woven through the mission and vision of CIMA. As such, Deborah holds membership in and provides direct support to the Developing Dynamic Self-Worth (Domestic Violence) Ministry, First Baptist Church of Glenarden; Fair Girls.org (Human Trafficking advocates); and the Society for Human Resource Management. She is also the President of the (non-profit) Zonta Foundation of Prince George’s County Area. The Foundation is part of Zonta International, whose mission is empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.

Kimisha James, born and raised in the DMV. I spent the early part of my childhood growing up in Bladensburg, MD. I grew up with both of my parents present in the home along with my older brother and little sister. YES, I’m the middle child…shush I don’t want to hear it!!!! My parents showed me the importance of a strong family foundation. You know that saying “A family that prays together, stays together”. Well, you guessed it…that was us!
Mrs. James has an MBA in Business Management. In 2012 she founded RK3A, LLC where she provides bookkeeping and business consulting services to small businesses in the Washington Metropolitan area. Mrs. James has an array of clients in various industries from churches to retail. Providing services to her clients entail bookkeeping, creating budgets, manage grants, and maintain day to day business finances.
I am a firm believer that with ambitious and determination anything is possible and am on the road to creating generational wealth for my family!!!

Linda has more than five years of experience in non-profit management to disadvantaged populations in Chicago, Illinois. Her passion emanated from a personal desire that has led her to help individuals and families plagued by violence, substance abuse, mental health, criminal
in-justices and the challenges of homelessness.
Linda has been a community advocate for more than 10 years, mainly in the Chicagoland area. Always driven with a passion to help others since 2002, while attending Malcolm X College, preparing to qualify to become a Physician Assistant, which was redirected due to personal reasons. Nevertheless, her advocacy continues in a different path with the same fervor to help the underprivileged by being a mentor at several Chicago Public Schools; volunteered at numerous non-profit organizations to educate the underprivileged of the importance of credit-worth, becoming a homeowner, business development, financial stability, and training. She believes self-reliance is the ingredient to acquire some form of functionality in society; hence shaped by her passion and belief in social rights for all. To her credit, she has bestowed several certificates and recognition from Riis High-school, Phi Theta Kappa, and Whose whom Book to say the least.

Connector, servant, promoter, evangelist and Brother in Christ. These are just a few words that describe Shawn Hay also known as Shawn Papi, founder of the Hey Papi Promotions Network.
With over 15 years experience in promoting events and participating in community service activities all over the country and experience traveling all over the world, Shawn has made many relationships and is a great connector of people.
Since 1994, Shawn has been well known for promoting nightclubs, college parties, community activities and celebrity rapper events. During this time Shawn became one of the top promoters in the Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC metropolitan area.
On New Year's Eve 1999, Shawn heard his calling from the Lord to give up the secular promoting and to use his God given gift to spread the Gospel through promotions and entertainment serving God.
Within a short period of time, Shawn established a Christian Marketing & Advertising Agency called Hey Papi Promotions. He decided to keep his old secular name Hey Papi Promotions because he wanted it to be a testimony to show others that they can change from a worldly lifestyle to one that praises Jesus Christ.
In 2008, he established the Hey Papi Promotions Network, a Christian, faith-based social media network website that now has registered members all over the world. The Hey Papi Promotions Network was created to keep people updated of Christian, faith-based events and community service activities across the world. The Hey Papi Promotions Network is centered around a community of professional people that are Pastors, Ministers, Entrepreneurs, Promoters, Gospel Artists and Media.
Angella Vassell, Substance Abuse Counselor
Angella Vassell is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with over 10 years of experience in the field. Her passion is to help change the lives of those that struggle with addictions by addressing the root issues. Her mission is to empower her clients with the tools, information and resources to regain control over their lives and overcome addiction.
Angella's military background in support of information and outreach to those in the military who have or are experiencing domestic and/or sexual violence, and may also struggle with substance abuse. She understands the call to duty, it has been her decision to serve and she has once again answered the call.
